Thumbnail Downloader ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our free YouTube thumbnail extraction tool.

How Our Tool Works
When you enter a YouTube URL, our system extracts the video ID and constructs direct links to publicly available thumbnail images hosted on YouTube's servers (img.youtube.com). All thumbnail images remain on YouTube's infrastructure — we do not download, store, or process them on our servers.
The extraction happens in real time. Once you close the page, no trace of your activity remains on our systems.
Data Retention
We do not retain any user data. No URLs, no thumbnails, no personal information is stored on our servers at any time. Our service operates on a stateless model — each request is processed independently and immediately discarded.
Analytics
We may use privacy-focused analytics to understand general usage patterns and improve our service. This data is anonymized, aggregated, and cannot be used to identify individual users. No personal identifiers are collected.
Third-Party Services
Our service interacts with the following third-party services:
- YouTube / Google CDN (img.youtube.com) — Used to retrieve publicly available thumbnail images. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Vercel — Our hosting provider. May process basic request logs for service delivery and security. Subject to Vercel's Privacy Policy.
Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Because we do not collect or store personal data, most data subject requests (access, deletion, portability) are technically not applicable. However, if you have any concerns about your privacy, you retain the following rights:
- Right to know — what data is collected (none, in our case)
- Right to deletion — we have no data to delete

Cookies
